This painting is about starting over, life lessons, and new opportunities. It’s under painting, now barely visible, was a previous work of mine full of vibrant and bold blues, magenta and black. A giant wash of subtle blues and barely pinks overcomes the bolder colors, giving this piece a feeling of cleansing. Remnants of a ribbon-like pattern, drawn with white conté crayon, weave between the layers.
