Inspired by moments we felt like we are exactly where we are supposed to be, in the truest sense of feeling home. As someone who has always lived in the south, it will always feel like home to me. This piece is also partially inspired by the song of the same title by the band Boy & Bear.
This is a mixed media and resin paintings on a circular, framed in wood panel. Layers of rose gold and black are surrounded by a glowing aura of an ivory underpainting that is also dusted with rose gold. Gold leaf and thread weave throughout this piece, connecting the elements within the layers of resin. Features ink, acrylic paint, spray paint, gold leaf, thread and resin.
